The Theme Park Technician Certificate is designed to prepare the student for occupational competency as a technician for theme parks.This certificate program requires a total of 22 units of all of which are in required courses. A minimum grade of C is required in each course taken.

Student Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1: Interpret, analyze, evaluate, and employ the correct, safe, and efficient use of tools, hardware, and equipment associated with various technical systems for the purpose of running and maintaining productions.

Outcome 2: Research, interpret, compose, and categorize various types of schematics, spreadsheets, and other paperwork utilized within the professional entertainment field for the purpose of working effectively with production designers.

Outcome 3: Distinguish and apply basic technical theatre terminology in order to communicate effectively within the theme park industry.

Outcome 4: Assess and formulate various maintenance and diagnostic methodologies to safely troubleshoot and maintain show control equipment.
