The Piano Teaching Certificate is a two-semester program that is intended for anyone seeking to expand their teaching and playing skills. Student Learning Outcomes
Outcome 1: Demonstrate and assess student and/or student group learning approaches and apply appropriate teaching methods to encourage independent and/or collaborative learning for beginning to early advanced level students.
Outcome 2: Evaluate business/teaching-related issues such as scheduling piano lessons, computer assisted programs, fees, basic accounting information, rules and policies for the purpose of effectively communicating with other colleagues, students, or guardians.
