Welcome to auditions for Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance – Havana Nights, the Spring 2026 Campus Theatre musical at Fullerton College!
This production reimagines the classic operetta within a vibrant 1950s Caribbean coastal world inspired by Havana nightlife, sugar-cane aristocracy, rhythmic energy, and bold comedic storytelling. Our Havana Nights concept honors the original Gilbert & Sullivan score while infusing it with warmth, movement, character, and a heightened sense of color and style unique to mid-century Caribbean culture.
Auditioning for Pirates of Penzance means embracing operetta technique, crisp diction, ensemble precision, character-driven comedy, and the elegance of classical vocal performance. We are casting singers who act and actors who sing — performers eager to stretch their vocal and storytelling skills in a supportive, high-level, highly collaborative rehearsal environment.
