STEVEN BIGGS returns to Southern California after finishing his MFA in Performance at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Roles there included Col. Vershinin in Three Sisters, Bill Sykes in Oliver!, Kadmos in The Bacchae of Euripedes, and Robert in Proof. He also served as assistant dialect coach for Secret Garden in which he played Ben Weatherstaff. . He is also featured in the recent David Keith film, Waterville, which he helped write. He appeared as Sir Toby Belch in the North East Shakespeare Ensemble’s inaugural production of Twelfth Night.
Previous to UTK, Steve worked at Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. His portrayal of Klingon Commander Kralk can be seen in the upcoming documentary, Trek Nation and an episode of Wedding Story.
Other roles have included Harold Hill in The Music Man, Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, Henry II in The Lion in Winter, and M. Gallimard in M. Butterfly. He also put in a six and a half year stint with Orange County’s Mystery Café during which time Steve helped create many diverse characters and even co-wrote a script, Without a Hitch, a parody of Alfred Hitchcock movies, which has been produced in San Diego, Seattle, and Minneapolis. He returned to that company (now called The Gourmet Detective) as Production Manager for a year and a half before stepping down to devote more time to his students.
