Bill was educated at Fullerton College then transferred to UCLA for his BA, awarded in 2002 and was awarded his MFA in 2004 from UCLA as well. He is an adjunct theatre professor here at Fullerton College as well as Santa Ana College. He also teaches theatre at Mater Dei High-School
As a founding member of Stages Theatre Company in Orange County he has had over 30 of his original works produced including. Snow Angels, Witches Roommates and Lovers, So Alone, A World in Love, Gratuitous, Ticklepants, Decadence, Paradise, Forever, The Demon, and Mother's Daughter. He was awarded a grant from California Council for the Humanities in 2006 for his production of Tales from the Canyons, The Olinda Story, at the Curtis Theatre in Brea.(Restaged in 2017). His Play One was staged in 2018. and Other awards include Anita and Everette Farnsworth Scholarship, Fullerton College, 1993 Best Ensemble, Ticklepants, "OC Weekly", 1998 Playwright of the year, "OC Weekly", 2001 Best Director, "OC Register", 2001 Best Play, So Alone, "OC Register", 2001 James Pendleton Foundation Award, UCLA, 2003 and the Marianne Murphy Award, UCLA, 2003. His last staged production, Art in the Time of War, was staged the weekend before Covid closed all theatres in 2020.
Besides being an award winning playwright and director, William is a light designer, stage carpenter, and actor. He has been seen on the stage in 2017 as an actor for the Female Playwrights Initiative in LA. In 2019 in Richard the Third, and can often be seen performing on the streets of LA with the Playwrights Arena. His last major lighting design was tackling the 2019 season for Shakespeare Orange County, and during Covid he has overseen 4 online productions of original students work including taking students to the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Theatre Festival.
